The Government Procurement Card (GPC), is a purchasing card used increasingly by public sector organisations to buy high volume, low value goods and services in a cost and process efficient way.
Previously this process was predominantly manual and e-mail/paper based. This system enables the buyer to take advantage of discounts available, and achieves huges savings on processing invoices and monitoring company expenditure.
SAP provides a Procurement Card solution as part of its SRM (EBP) product which is specifically designed to support the reconciliation, approval and financial management of procurement cards.
